Each sign is handmade in our Leicestershire workshop, known as The Barn.

We use ply board for these signs, giving a smoother finish for the design area.

The framing wood is old pallet wood which is hand cut, de-nailed and heavily sanded. No attempt is made to cover or fix any holes or markings as this is the perfect and natural way to add character to your framed sign, making it unique and simply stunning.

We use eco-friendly and high quality Farrow & Ball paints to paint our signs. The lettering is applied with the help of paper stencils (which we also make ourselves)

Please note that colours can vary when viewed on a screen as opposed to in person.

Our framed signs have been designed to hang from the frame ledge itself. We advise using wall anchors and screws designed for your particular type of wall.

We offer free delivery within mainland UK.  We use Royal mail and Parcelforce. 

Timescales: - As each product is handmade to order (with the exception of our Ready Made collection), please allow the stated production time to receive your purchase.  The production time gives you an indication of the maximum time it could take, however we are usually well within this time frame.  If you do need an order urgently pleasecontact us

Standard Designs:  The Imperfect Wood Company is happy to offer an exchange or refund of the purchase price of any design you buy should you feel it is unsuitable. Simply return the design and any documentation in its original condition within 30 days of receipt. Packaging and delivery costs are non-refundable. For your protection, when returning products, The Imperfect Wood Company recommends that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that the customer is responsible for the costs of returning the items to The Imperfect Wood Company.

Personalised Designs:  We regret that we cannot offer refunds for bespoke designs.
